Program Updates
Our students are amazing!!!! Many of the students that work in our programs are continuously finding connections by participating in jobs within the school as well as jobs in the community around TJHS. The focus of the PLEX program is to monitor student success, assist in advocating for themselves in all environments, and creating a continuum of services that supports the highest level of success for all students.

These are the hours when I am most available for face to face meetings. Appointments can be made by phone or email. If I am unavailable during these times due to meetings or other student situations I check my messages often. Hours of availability:

Parents will be sent an email containing a way for them to access activities and learning in class through threering.com
Students and parents will have a chance to be part of discussions in class and about student learning in class using padlet.com
Many lessons will be driven using computer programs, both low and high tech in all classes to further their multimedia connections. This is important for post-secondary education!

Life Before Thomas Jefferson:
I have been at TJHS for 7 years as a teacher and 3 years as a paraprofessional. I have been teaching for 7 years total. I student taught in Jefferson County in an Elementary school and in Aurora Public Schools in a Middle School. I worked at a Mexican restaurant for 6 years in high school and middle school. I was an entrance gnome at Santa's WorskShop as well as a shop supervisor in college. I worked in a group home for people with moderate to severe disabilities for 2 years. Before I came to TJHS as a teacher I was a Sales Representative for a small wine company. I am the department chair and am really enjoying the process and success I can build for our Special Education department. I am also the Unified sports coach for TJHS. GOOOOOOO SPARTANS!!!
